On the name
Roosevelt had his fireside chats: a politician speaking to a nation, managing perception, selling consensus. The fireside was warm, the message was soothing, the purpose was compliance.
Pyreside Chats are not that.
The pyre is not a fireplace. In myth, Heracles burned himself on a pyre, the mortal parts consumed so the divine could survive. That is the prerequisite for apotheosis. Without the fire, there is only the man who dies twice.
The West is burning now. Not with flames, but with the same consuming principle: the collapse of everything that was false, everything that was borrowed, everything that never belonged to you. What is left standing when the fire finishes its work is either yours or it is nothing.
Fire is not comfort. It is friction. It is the only thing that separates the dross from the metal. True initiation is not a soothing lullaby. It is a consuming fire. The kind that does not ask permission, does not negotiate, does not apologize. It burns what needs to burn.
